Steps to Get Your Vehicle Ready For Shipment:
Clean Exterior
Cleaning your vehicle will ensure an accurate inspection can be completed.
Charged battery
Check that your battery is completely charged; if not, replace it. You may be charged extra if your car is transported as "inoperable."
Fluid Leaks
Make sure you don’t have any leaking fluids that may cause issues during transport.
Alarms Disabled
If possible, disable all alarms that may cause issues for the transporter if triggered.
*Electric Vehicles
To avoid "vampire drain," please verify that your EV is fully charged and that all background systems are turned off.

JUST A FEW MORE STEPS...
Toll Tags Removed
Remove or deactivate any toll devices to avoid being paid for tolls while your vehicle is in transit.
Tire Pressure
Check that your tires are completely inflated and that there aren’t any leaks, so there won’t be issues unloading your vehicle upon delivery.
Important Concerns
Inform the car shipping expert if your vehicle has any specific issues with turning on or shifting gears. This will ensure the driver can easily load and unload your car on and off the truck.
Vehicle Modifications
Ensure that all changes to your vehicle, such as lift kits, over-sized tires, roof racks, and so on, are reviewed with your Logistics Coordinator and that any external modifications are properly secured.

Car Shipping Checklist FAQs
What should I do before shipping my car?
Before shipping, wash your car, remove personal items, disable alarms, check tire pressure and fluid levels, and document the vehicle's condition with photos.
Do I need to empty my gas tank before transport?
Yes. Leave only about a quarter tank of gas. This keeps the vehicle light and safe during loading and unloading.
Can I pack personal items in my car during shipping?
We recommend removing all personal belongings. Carriers are not responsible for items left inside, and extra weight may increase the cost or delay transport.
Should I check my car for damage before and after shipping?
Yes. Inspect your car with the driver at pickup and delivery, and note any damage on the Bill of Lading. Taking photos helps with documentation.
